Fêtes Normandes : La Normandie, Terre de l'Automobile

Who hasn’t cruised down the roads? Who hasn’t ventured out, window rolled down in the middle of summer, on high-speed concrete highways? Who remembers their first moments behind the wheel? We all have memories from behind the wheel. So, for the tenth edition of the Fêtes Normandes, Évreux is putting the automobile in the spotlight!

The Fêtes Normandes in Cévreux celebrate regional traditions through local products, craft demonstrations, shows, animals, and activities for the whole family. A festive, friendly, and authentic event! And on Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, the town will transform into a hub for automotive celebrations.

Why cars? Because the people of Normandy invented the very first internal combustion engine in 1884 and hosted the first horseless car race in 1894.
Normandy is also home to the Évreux hill climb, the Rouen-Les Essarts circuit, the Plaines et Vallées rally, the birthplace of F1 champions, and the home of Renault Alpine in Dieppe, our guest of honor. So, this weekend, the program includes:

- An exhibition of classic French cars (Rue Georges Bernard),
- Concerts (Square Georges-Brassens),
- The tourism pavilion, where the city of Dieppe will be our guest of honor,
- Arcade games and retro consoles,
- A Normandy farmers’ market (Rue de l’Horloge, around the Belfry),
- Two electric mini-go-kart tracks,
- And other activities (Placette Oursel).
