Ifs Millénaires à la Haye-de-Routot
In the Roumois region, a number of remarkable trees can be admired, such as "La Belle Epine", a common white hawthorn in Bouquetot, or the Chêne à la Vierge in Monts du Roumois.
But the two must-sees are undoubtedly the two thousand-year-old Yew trees at La Haye-de-Routot, located in the Notre-Dame churchyard. These are around 1,500 years old, having been dug out naturally over time. One became a chapel dedicated to Sainte-Anne, while the other was transformed into an oratory dedicated to Notre-Dame de Lourdes.
Both trees were classified as "Site inscrit" in 1932, and were awarded the "Arbre remarquable de France" label in 2001.
