Les mares de Beaumesnil

Located in the heart of the Pays d'Ouche plateau, Beaumesnil?s network of ponds is scattered among the market garden plots of the Beaumesnil educational kitchen garden. Ponds of this type are essential to the biodiversity of agricultural plateaus, supporting a population of amphibians (newts and frogs) which breed here annually. Numerous birds, mammals and dragonflies also visit and feed here.
The site joined the Espaces Naturels Sensibles network in 2006.
