Les prés humides de la Charentonne

Located near the center of Bernay, the Charentonne wet meadows are criss-crossed by several branches of the river. This area has been preserved in parallel with the development of an ecologically managed pastoral golf course. A series of wetlands have been preserved, including wet meadows, ponds, streamside woodlands and areas of dense tall grass known as megaphorbia. These constitute a potential habitat for typical wetland flora and fauna.
They have been registered as Espaces Naturels Sensibles in 2019.
